Antigua Guatemala is a magical city. It was the colonial capital of Central American between 1543 and 1773 when the capital moved to Guatemala City. Known then as Santiago de Guatemala, its cobblestone streets, magnificent churches, convents and exquisite colonial homes were well known in the realm.

Abandoned in time and then known as La Antigua Guatemala, many of its buildings became ruins while homes were restored. The city began to come to life after 1969 which international Spanish schools, tourism and it is now one of the Top 10 Destination Wedding locations in the world. It has been re-created by Antiguans who love their city and treasure its heritage and traditions – with a new touch of elegance!
